The SCT-PLC Stress Crack Tester is designed to measure the stress crack resistance of blow-molded PET carbonated soft drink bottles. It evaluates the propensity for base cracking when exposed to an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution, providing insights into the long-term durability of the bottles.
The SCT-PLC utilizes PLC control technology, which guarantees high accuracy and repeatability in testing. It features an automatic affusion system and allows for precise control of testing conditions, including pressure and timing, ensuring reliable results.
The SCT-PLC offers two testing modes: “SP” mode, where the system auto-fills samples and then pressurizes them according to a set cycle; and “PS” mode, where samples are first pressurized and held for a preset time before being subjected to further testing. This flexibility allows for various testing scenarios based on user requirements.
The SCT-PLC can test samples with diameters ranging from 60 to 120 mm and heights from 150 to 350 mm. It operates under selectable pressures from 0 to 6 Bar and has a testing time that can be adjusted from 0 to 200 minutes. The device features a 7” LCD touch screen for easy operation and monitoring.
Yes, the SCT-PLC is designed to accommodate various bottle sizes, making it versatile for testing different PET bottle formats. Users can select positions and control each one separately according to their specific testing needs.
