Testing Procedure:

1. Divide 50 cleaned caps into two groups of 25 each. Weigh each group with an accuracy of 0.1 mg.
2. Place the caps into the sample chambers and run the test for 50 minutes (adjustable), at a speed of 20 RPM.
3. Remove the caps, clean off any wear film, and reweigh each group with the same accuracy.
4. Calculate the weight loss for each group, then average the results to determine the cap’s abrasive wear value.
5. Compare this value to the standard range to determine if the caps meet the required specifications.
